ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੈ ਬਾਸਬੈ ਕਲਮਲ ਸਭਿ ਨਸਨਾ ॥

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੇਤੀ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਿਆ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਗਰਭਿ ਨ ਗ੍ਰਸਨਾ ॥੧॥

ਨਾਮੁ ਕਹਤ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਕਾ ਸੂਚੀ ਭਈ ਰਸਨਾ ॥

ਮਨ ਤਨ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਜਪੁ ਜਪਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖਤ ਧ੍ਰਾਪਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਰਸੁ ਲੈ ਹਸਨਾ ॥

ਬੁਧਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਭਈ ਉਲਟਿ ਕਮਲੁ ਬਿਗਸਨਾ ॥੨॥

ਸੀਤਲ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਹੋਇ ਸਭ ਬੂਝੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ॥

ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਧਾਵਤ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਏ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਥਾਨਿ ਬਸਨਾ ॥੩॥

ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੈ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਭਏ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭਸਨਾ ॥

ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖੀ ਪੇਖਿ ਸਾਧ ਦਰਸਨਾ ॥੪॥੧੩॥੪੩॥

English Transliteration:

bilaaval mahalaa 5 |

saadhasangat kai baasabai kalamal sabh nasanaa |

prabh setee rang raatiaa taa te garabh na grasanaa |1|

naam kehat govind kaa soochee bhee rasanaa |

man tan niramal hoee hai gur kaa jap japanaa |1| rahaau |

har ras chaakhat dhraapiaa man ras lai hasanaa |

budh pragaas pragatt bhee ulatt kamal bigasanaa |2|

seetal saant santokh hoe sabh boojhee trisanaa |

deh dis dhaavat mitt ge niramal thaan basanaa |3|

raakhanahaarai raakhiaa bhe bhram bhasanaa |

naam nidhaan naanak sukhee pekh saadh darasanaa |4|13|43|

बिलावलु महला ५ ॥

साधसंगति कै बासबै कलमल सभि नसना ॥

प्रभ सेती रंगि रातिआ ता ते गरभि न ग्रसना ॥१॥

नामु कहत गोविंद का सूची भई रसना ॥

मन तन निरमल होई है गुर का जपु जपना ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

हरि रसु चाखत ध्रापिआ मनि रसु लै हसना ॥

बुधि प्रगास प्रगट भई उलटि कमलु बिगसना ॥२॥

सीतल सांति संतोखु होइ सभ बूझी त्रिसना ॥

दह दिस धावत मिटि गए निरमल थानि बसना ॥३॥

राखनहारै राखिआ भए भ्रम भसना ॥

नामु निधान नानक सुखी पेखि साध दरसना ॥४॥१३॥४३॥

English Translation:

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:

Dwelling in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, all sins are erased.

One who is attuned to the Love of God, is not cast into the womb of reincarnation. ||1||

Chanting the Name of the Lord of the Universe, the tongue becomes holy.

The mind and body become immaculate and pure, chanting the Chant of the Guru. ||1||Pause||

Tasting the subtle essence of the Lord, one is satisfied; receiving this essence, the mind becomes happy.

The intellect is brightened and illuminated; turning away from the world, the heart-lotus blossoms forth. ||2||

He is cooled and soothed, peaceful and content; all his thirst is quenched.

The mind’s wandering in the ten directions is stopped, and one dwells in the immaculate place. ||3||

The Savior Lord saves him, and his doubts are burnt to ashes.

Nanak is blessed with the treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. He finds peace, gazing upon the Blessed Vision of the Saints’ Darshan. ||4||13||43||

Punjabi Translation:

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

(ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ (ਸਾਂਝ ਬਣਿਆਂ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਫਸੀਦਾ ॥੧॥

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆਂ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ) ਜੀਭ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ (ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦਾ) ਜਾਪ ਜਪਿਆਂ ਮਨ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਰੀਰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਚੱਖਿਆਂ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਲੋਂ) ਰੱਜ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਖਿੜੇ ਰਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਬੁੱਧੀ ਵਿਚ (ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ) ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਬੁੱਧੀ ਉੱਜਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਕੌਲ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਲੋਂ) ਪਰਤ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਖਿੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥

(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਨ) ਠੰਢਾ-ਠਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਤੇ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਾਇਆ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

(ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ) ਦਸੀਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ (ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਦੌੜ-ਭੱਜ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥

ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ) ਰਾਖੀ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਭਟਕਣਾਂ (ਸੜ ਕੇ) ਸੁਆਹ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ।

ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ (ਜੋ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ) ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ (ਹੈ), (ਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ) ਸੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੪॥੧੩॥੪੩॥

Spanish Translation:

Bilawal, Mejl Guru Aryan, Quinto Canal Divino.

Si uno habita en la Sociedad de los Santos todos sus errores son borrados.

Uno vive imbuido en el Amor del Señor para no regresar al vientre materno otra vez.(1)

Recitando el Nombre del Señor la boca se purifica;

sí, el cuerpo y la mente son purgados de toda falta si uno contempla la Palabra del Guru.(1-Pausa)

Uno vive saciado, saboreando la Esencia del Señor con su mente en flor.

El intelecto se manifiesta iluminado y el Loto invertido de la mente florece.(2)

Uno está contento, en calma y en Paz y toda ansiedad desaparece.

La lujuria, que inquieta a la mente, es canalizada y uno habita en el Recinto Inmaculado del Ser.(3)

El Señor, el Protector de todos, protege a Su Devoto, convirtiendo sus dudas en cenizas.

Ahora que he sido bendecido con el Tesoro del Nombre, teniendo la Visión del Darshan del Guru, me encuentro en Verdad en Éxtasis.(4-13-43)
